We're proud to be approved providers for the Ontario Autism Program. Whether you have OAP funding, are waiting for approval, or paying privately, our team will help you maximize your benefits and get the care your child needs.
The Ontario Autism Program (OAP) is a government-funded program that provides financial support for children and youth diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). OAP funding can be used to access essential services like Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Occupational Therapy (OT), and other evidence-based therapies. The program is designed to help families afford the care their children need to develop communication, social, and daily living skills. Funding amounts vary based on the child's age and support needs.
Absolutely! We guide families through the entire OAP application process. Our team helps you understand eligibility requirements, gather necessary documentation, and navigate the paperwork. Once approved, we work directly with your OAP budget to ensure your child receives the therapy they need without financial stress. We've helped thousands of families access OAP funding and maximize their benefits. During your free consultation, we'll explain exactly how OAP works and answer all your questions.
Yes! We welcome families with and without OAP coverage. Our pricing is $72 per hour for ABA therapy — the same rate regardless of funding source — with no hidden fees. All costs include BCBA supervision, progress reports, and parent coaching. We also accept private insurance that covers therapy services. Many families choose to start therapy privately while waiting for OAP approval, and we can help you transition to OAP funding once it's available. Your child's progress doesn't have to wait for funding.
Our clinic is dedicated to helping your child achieve independence and eventually transition away from therapy. We specialize in Occupational Therapy (OT), Speech-Language Pathology (SLP), Teaching and tutoring by OCTs and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). What truly sets us apart is the expertise behind our care.
Our Clinical Director, with over 21 years of experience in diverse settings like Universities, Daycares, schools, and rehabilitation centers, leads our team. He has authored research articles, conducted workshops on child development, and ensures that our approach is backed by the latest evidence-based practices. With this leadership, we focus on building the skills your child needs to thrive independently and confidently in the future.
We offer therapeutic services to children and teenagers, starting from ages 2 to 16 years old.
We do! Our clinic is located at 9040 Leslie St Unit 203 & 208, Richmond Hill, ON L4B 3M4. We have 18 therapy rooms designed to support various therapy needs. In addition to in-clinic services, we also offer virtual sessions for your convenience.
We do! We offer online therapy sessions from the comfort of your home. All you'll need is a stable internet connection and a private space to participate.
Currently, our ABA services are clinic-based at our Richmond Hill
location. However, clinic-based therapy offers several advantages:
• Dedicated, distraction-free therapy rooms
• Access to specialized equipment and materials
• Immediate collaboration with OT, SLP, and other therapists
• Structured environment that supports skill acquisition
For skill generalization, we incorporate community outings and work closely with parents to practice
strategies at home.
Your child should start therapy as soon as they face challenges with daily tasks like motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, or school readiness. Early intervention is key to addressing these issues and helping them build essential skills for independence and success. If you're unsure, we offer a free one hour first session to help determine the best time to begin therapy.
Signs of autism can vary but often include difficulties with social
interaction, delayed speech or communication, repetitive behaviors, and challenges with sensory
processing. You might notice your child avoiding eye contact, struggling to engage in play with peers,
or showing intense interest in specific activities. If you suspect your child may be on the autism
spectrum, it's important to seek a professional assessment.
Our clinic offers comprehensive
Autism Assessments conducted by a multidisciplinary team. An assessment is often a required step to
access OAP funding and school support programs. Reach out to book a free consultation and find out if an assessment is the right next step for your child.
Early
identification and support can make a significant difference in your child's development.
It's natural for children to feel nervous about something new. Our therapists are experienced in creating a warm, welcoming environment to help your child feel comfortable. We start with gentle, play-based activities to build trust and make the experience enjoyable. We also involve parents in the process to provide reassurance and support as your child adjusts to therapy.
ABA therapy should be a priority if your child:
• Has received an autism diagnosis and struggles with communication or behavior
• Shows repetitive behaviors that interfere with daily activities
• Has difficulty with social interactions or making friends
• Struggles to follow routines or transitions
• Needs support with self-care skills (dressing, eating, toileting)
Early intervention (ages 2-6) typically yields the best outcomes, but children of all ages can benefit
from ABA. The sooner you start, the more time your child has to build essential skills before school and
beyond.
The number of hours depends on your child's individual needs and
goals. After our initial assessment, our BCBA will recommend a program intensity, typically ranging from
3 to 25+ hours per week. Research shows that children with autism benefit from a minimum of 3 hours per
week, with more intensive programs (15-25+ hours) often recommended for younger children or those with
higher support needs.
During your free consultation, we'll discuss what's realistic for your
family's schedule and budget.
The duration varies by child, but most families see meaningful
progress within 6-12 months of consistent therapy. Some children benefit from longer-term support (2-3
years), especially those with higher support needs.
Our goal is always to help your child build
independence and eventually transition out of therapy. We regularly review progress and adjust the
program as your child grows.
We provide regular progress reports at no extra charge, unlike many
other providers. Your child's BCBA will:
• Share detailed session notes after each session
• Provide formal progress reports at regular intervals
• Schedule parent meetings to review goals and data
• Use objective, measurable data to track skill acquisition
You'll never be left wondering if therapy is working. We show you the numbers.
We prioritize clear, prompt communication with families. Your BCBA
will:
• Respond to emails and messages within 24-48 hours
• Schedule regular parent check-ins (included in your program)
• Provide supervisory notes after each observation
• Be available for questions during and after sessions
Parent coaching is built into every ABA program so you're always part of the team.
Skill generalization is a core focus of our program. We help
children transfer skills from the therapy room to real life through:
Parent coaching: We teach you the strategies so you can reinforce skills at home
Coordinated care: Our BCBA works with OT, SLP, and Psychotherapy teams to ensure
consistent approaches across disciplines
Community practice: We incorporate real-world scenarios into therapy
Home assignments: Practical activities to practice between sessions
School collaboration: With your consent, we can coordinate with teachers
Unlike providers who only focus on in-clinic sessions, we prepare your child for success everywhere they
go.
